This charming secretary is completely made of oak and veneered with cherry wood.

This is a sign of its good quality, as the vast most veneered furniture of this time was veneered on softwood and not on oak.

It was created in the Münster resp. Münsterland around 1820, and shows itself in freshly restored condition with new shellac polish.

His design is also special, which shows a large ebonised ribbon in the head area, which underlines the rigour of the furniture and can already be described as protomodern.

Charming are the original pressed lion head handles of the head drawer, which for me make up the special charm of this furniture.

He has small measures, so that he seems very graceful despite his rigour.

All in all a very nice little Empire secretary with unique design and very good quality.
