Classicist chest of drawers in the noblest woods Guiseppe Maggiolini  (1738 -1814) circle

This classicist chest of drawers marketed in the most expensive precious woods was created in Milan / Lombardy around 1790 and is due to its quality and the materials used to the circle  of the famous Ebenist Guiseppe Maggiolini.

The ground wood is walnut and has been highlighted with royal wood (fillings), rosewood (friesian), rosewood (edges & side contrast bands), olive (upper edge), maple (jewelry elements), maple green (contrast ribbons).

It has the original, cast, classicist fittings.

The original marble plate is lost and has been replaced by a matching marble plate made of Veronese marble.

In the course of the restoration, all loose veneers were consolidated, individual veneer defects were added, the original green stained and faded contrast bands were re-stained and the worn running strips were applied.

The chest of drawers is presented in restored, shellac polished condition and is fully functional.
